Anyways, I just wanted to tell people who weren't aware of any of this, to please give Oral Oxycodone a shot, and post back on this thread. I would never go back to snorting Oxycodone.

Apr 21, 2011· Oxycodone is the shortacting medication. Purdue Pharmacy actually changed the formula for Oxycontin last year so that if you crush the pills, the drug becomes ineffective. As far as I know, they haven't done that for Oxycodone. People chose to crush the longacting formula because it is stronger than Oxycodone.

If the pill is scored (there's a line indented across it) then it can be broken in half to take a smaller dose. However you shouldn't crush or break any pills without checking with your doctor or pharmacist first.
